Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an instructor to develop and deliver courses in collaboration with the course coordinator in Orlando, FL. You will design syllabi, manage assessments, and mentor students while supporting program accreditation efforts.

The role requires both face-to-face and online teaching capabilities, comfort with computer-based delivery systems, and a commitment to inclusive education for a diverse student body. Master’s degree required with relevant coursework and 18 graduate hours.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or higher in relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 18 graduate-level semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Ability to teach in both in-person and online environments; knowledge of LMS is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator.
• Grants course syllabi and oversees student evaluations and grading within deadlines.
• Advises and mentors students, fosters competencies, and supports accreditation processes.
• Reviews department policies and participates in program accreditation activities.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator. Provides course syllabi for instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator. Engages in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship, and research. Grades examinations and assignments, reviews evaluations with students, and meets all established deadlines for testing, assignments, and grade submissions. Advises and mentors students, formulating and administering student competencies as needed. Reviews and assists with revisions needed for department policies, procedures and accreditation. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work in both a face-to-face and online teaching environment [Required]

Education:
