Job summary

The Technology House in Streetsboro, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to set up part files and builds for additive manufacturing. You will read drawings, interpret travelers, and work with Project Managers, Engineering, and Operations to ensure accurate, on-time production.

Qualified candidates will have prior additive manufacturing experience or training, STEM background, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior additive manufacturing and/or manufacturing experience preferred, but training will be provided.
  • Participation in STEM or related program.
  • Associate’s degree in STEM field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Additive Setup
  • Perform production setups for additive manufactured parts
  • Read and interpret instructions, drawings, and travelers along with directions from customers and Project Managers
  • Manage schedule and provide feedback to Scheduler and Operations Manager
  • Utilize reference plane and 3D visualization for part orientation
  • Recommend best practices for manufacturing based on process
  • Manufacturing
  • Understand additive manufacturing processes (Carbon, HP, SLA, FDM, etc.)
  • Perform manufacturing tasks as needed to support production team
  • Report and prevent errors and defects
  • Troubleshoot processes and provide feedback regarding process improvements
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration activities on equipment

Travel Required: Minimal travel required

Schedule: 40-hour work week comprised of 5 eight-hour days; some occasional overtime may be required.

General Job Description

This role is responsible for setting up part files and builds accurately and efficiently for use in the manufacturing process. Technicians must be able to manage time and projects and meet deadlines, communicate with Project Managers, Engineering, and Operations, and troubleshoot errors and defects. The role must be able to work independently and as a team to ensure company goals are met and manufacturing processes are strong.
