Job summary

The Technology House, LTD is seeking an Intern/Co-op to support additive manufacturing operations in Streetsboro, OH. You will set up part files, read instructions, and collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, and Operations to meet deadlines and improve processes.

You will gain hands-on experience with multiple additive technologies while supporting production tasks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

  • Prior additive manufacturing and/or manufacturing experience preferred, but training will be provided.
  • Participation in STEM or related program.
  • Associate's degree in STEM field preferred.
  • Experience with 3D Systems, Stratasys, Carbon, or HP software preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of resin and material properties preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production setups for additive manufactured parts and read instructions, drawings, and travelers from customers and Project Managers.
  • Manage schedule and provide feedback to Scheduler and Operations Manager.
  • Utilize reference plane and 3D visualization for part orientation and provide recommendations on best practices.
  • Understand additive manufacturing processes (Carbon, HP, SLA, FDM, etc.) and support production tasks when needed.
  • Report and troubleshoot errors and defects; perform preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for setting up part files and builds accurately and efficiently for use in the manufacturing process. Technicians must be able to manage time and projects and meet deadlines, communicate with Project Managers, Engineering, and Operations, and troubleshoot errors and defects. The role must be able to work independently and as a team to ensure company goals are met and manufacturing processes are strong.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Additive Setup
a)Perform production setups for additive manufactured parts
b)Read and interpret instructions, drawings, and travelers along with directions from customers and Project Managers
c)Manage schedule and provide feedback to Scheduler and Operations Manager
d)Utilize reference plane and 3D visualization for part orientation
e)Recommend best practices for manufacturing based on process
2.Manufacturing
a)Understand additive manufacturing processes (Carbon, HP, SLA, FDM, etc.)
b)Perform manufacturing tasks as needed to support production team
c)Report and prevent errors and defects
d)Troubleshoot processes and provide feedback regarding process improvements
e)Perform preventative maintenance and calibration activities on equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior additive manufacturing and/or manufacturing experience preferred, but training will be provided
  • Participation in STEM or related program
  • Associate's degree in STEM field preferred
  • Experience with 3D Systems, Stratasys, Carbon, or HP software preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of resin and material properties preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, sit and stand for extended periods, and perform push/pull, bending, lifting, and keyboarding activities
