Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Intern to gain hands-on experience in rocket engineering. You will work closely with a mentor to apply engineering concepts and grow professionally within a fast-paced environment.

You'll develop CAD/CAM modeling skills (Siemens NX, SolidWorks), exposure to metal additive manufacturing, and collaboration across teams on real projects during a 12+ week on-site internship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• GPA of 3.5 or above
• 6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• Exposure to metal additive manufacturing
• Strong CAD/CAM modeling skills in Siemens NX, Solidworks, and other CAD/CAM software
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)experience
• Experience with 3D Printing
