Job summary

Gentex Corporation seeks an Additive Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and improve manufacturing methods, support prototype development, and enable low-volume production across multiple programs. You will handle print file preparation, material selection, and process planning.

Collaborate with Design Engineering and Prototype teams to optimize post-processing, painting, tooling, and documentation, while maintaining quality and reducing waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering.
• 3+ years in additive manufacturing or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CAD, drawings, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and optimize print files with materials and parameters.
• Develop post-processing workflows.
• Improve paint preparation and application quality.
• Update manufacturing work instructions to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot printing issues and improve machine utilization.
• Support equipment qualification and preventive maintenance.
• Finish parts and prepare components for assembly.
• Inspect parts for defects and conformance.
• Coordinate prototype builds with Design Engineering and Prototype teams.
• Design, fabricate, and validate rapid tooling for prototypes.
• Other duties as assigned.
