Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer II to manage projects that develop, design, and support manufacturing processes and equipment. This role helps improve manufacturability of products and drives continuous improvement across the plant.

You will monitor and optimize processes, reduce variation, and assist in developing fixtures, layouts, and tools. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work nonstandard hours and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, develop, and optimize production processes to improve quality, reduce cost, and improve product flow.
• Reduce process variation caused by equipment or product design.
• Research and design/purchase equipment for new and existing processes.
• Participate in the product/equipment launch process through process development.
• Perform and oversee root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to safety and quality issue resolution activities.
• Interface with other departments to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Develop control plans, FMEAs, process flow charts, and assembly drawings.
