Gentex Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to drive technical problem solving and continuous improvement on the manufacturing line. You will work with cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include monitoring production, optimizing equipment, mentoring peers, and leading process-improvement initiatives. A technical degree and hands-on production floor experience are required.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific or related field.
1+ years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to understand/use SolidWorks, PLC’s and other manufacturing software platforms beneficial.
Ability to learn and network the organization.
Proven analytical ability to understand and solve technical issues in a team-oriented environment.
Inclination and willingness to get involved directly on the production floor.

Mansioni

Monitor production process to improve product flow, yield, and uptime.
Optimize current equipment and improve process capabilities.
Develop the team to utilize problem solving techniques and provide leadership in issue resolution.
Lead continuous improvement efforts on the production line and manage improvement initiatives.
Represent the production team to ensure quality and customer requirements are met.
Mentor incoming PSEs and assist in developing control plans, FMEA, and process drawings.
