Job summary

Autonomous Production seeks a hands-on engineer to serve as the expert-in-the-loop for our AI-driven additive manufacturing platform. You’ll rapidly modify 3D files to maximize throughput while bridging polymer science with live production architectures.

The role blends mechanical engineering, materials science, and ML to refine outputs and scale a high-speed production ecosystem. Master’s or PhD preferred; relocation to San Rafael, CA is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years designing polymer based parts or objects for advanced engineering use cases.
• 2+ years experience working with advanced materials like PC-ABS, TPU, Carbon Fiber, etc.
• In-person, full-time role in San Rafael, CA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze high complexity additive tasks and act as the human in the loop to improve workstation outputs.
• Optimize production throughput through rigorous data-driven analysis.
• Generate primary data via robust experimentation to improve the platform.
