Job summary

Gaudenzia, Inc. seeks an experienced Addictions Counselor (licensed or certified) to support individuals on their recovery journey across Maryland programs in Crownsville, Owings Mills, Glen Burnie and Baltimore.

The role offers flexible hours with evening options and a compensation range of $26.44–$34.61 per hour based on education and credentials. Responsibilities include caseload management, assessments, treatment planning, EHR documentation, and conducting individual and group sessions.

Qualifications

• Maryland Education/Licensure requirements for counselors.
• ADT certification required; various Maryland credentials preferred.
• Acceptable degrees include Social Work, Psychology, Addiction, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice, and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload of clients as program requirements and state regulations require.
• Complete evaluations and assessments including intake, clinical histories, ASAM, biopsychosocial histories.
• Develop individual treatment plans at admission.
• Document services in the electronic health record and prepare monthly treatment reports.
• Maintain timely EHR entries (within 24 hours, no later than 72 hours).
• Conduct individual and group sessions per treatment plan.
• Participate in funding source reviews and advise on treatment length of stay.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Coordinate with agency and community resources for a through treatment plan.
• Assist with discharge planning and connections to resources.
• Follow up with clients post-discharge per regulatory guidelines.

Education

ADT certification (Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists)

CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LCPC, LCADC or LICSW/LCSW preferred
