Gaudenzia,-Inc. is seeking an experienced Addictions Counselor to support Maryland programs across multiple locations.

The role focuses on providing comprehensive addiction treatment, assessments, and individualized plans for clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The counselor will manage caseloads, conduct screenings and assessments, document services in EHR, and coordinate discharge planning while maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have Alcohol and Drug Trainee certification (ADT) through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
• CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LCPC, LCADC or LICSW/LCSW preferred; licensure level affects compensation.
• Compensation based on current level of certification/licensure and years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of clients as required by program and state regulations.
• Complete evaluations and assessments (screenings, intake, clinical assessments, ASAM, biopsychosocial histories).
• Develop individual treatment plans at client admission.
• Document clinical services and interventions in the client's health records and monthly reports.
• Maintain timely electronic health records (within 24 hours; no later than 72 hours).
• Conduct individual and group sessions per treatment plan goals and level of care.
• Coordinate with agency and community resources for thorough treatment planning.
• Assist clients with discharge/continuing care planning and link to resources.
