Job summary

Gaudenzia, Inc. seeks an Addictions Counselor to support individuals on their recovery journey in Owings Mills, MD. This role requires licensure or certification with ADT and preferred licensures, working with a diverse client base in a human services setting.

You will handle intake, assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing counseling while documenting care and coordinating with community resources to build lasting recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• All counseling candidates must have at least an Alcohol and Drug Trainee (ADT) certification.
• Licensure/work experience in human services affects compensation.
• Preferred licensure includes CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LCPC, LCADC or LICSW/LCSW.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload per program requirements and state regulations.
• Complete screenings, intake, clinical assessments, ASAM and biopsychosocial histories.
• Develop individual treatment plans at client admission.
• Document services in the EHR and submit monthly reports.
• Maintain timely records within 24–72 hours of service.
• Conduct individual and group sessions per treatment plan goals.
• Assist with funding source reviews and case length recommendations.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Coordinate with resources for thorough treatment planning.
• Discharge planning and linkage to continuing care resources.
