Job summary

Project Chesapeake in Maryland is seeking a full-time Addiction Counselor to join our outpatient team. You will run OP/IOP groups, complete assessments, treatment plans, and documentation under supervision of an LCSW-C.

The role requires MD licensure (ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LMSW or LGPC) and at least 2 years of SUD experience, strong EMR skills, and excellent communication. We offer PTO, health/dental/vision options, 401(k) with match, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland license (LCSW-C, CADC, etc.) in the State of Maryland.
• At least 2 years’ experience with a substance use disorder population.
• Computer literate with EMR systems.
• Sound judgement, professionalism, and compassion for client care.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with DHMH / CARF requirements.

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy, & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional full-time Addiction's Counselor to join our team in an Outpatient setting!

Responsibilities include:

• Run OP / IOP substance use disorder groups.
• Complete substance use disorder assessments, treatment plans, group notes, & other clinical documentation under the supervision of an LCSW-C.
• Take part in a multi-disciplinary team to maintain excellent client care & treatment.
• Attain occasional trainings & maintain licensure requirements.

Qualifications include:

• Active ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LMSW or LGPC license in the State of Maryland.
• At least 2 years' experience with a substance use disorder population.
• Computer literate & experience working in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
• Possess sound judgement, professionalism, & compassion for client care.
• Excellent documentation & communication skills.
• Familiarity with DHMH / CARF requirements.

Hours:

• Full-time
• Monday - Thursday from 11:30am - 8:30pm
• Friday from 11:30am - 2:30pm
