Job summary

Project Chesapeake in Maryland is seeking a full-time Addiction Counselor to join our outpatient team. You will run OP/IOP groups, complete assessments, treatment plans, and documentation under supervision of an LCSW-C.

The role requires MD licensure (ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LMSW or LGPC) and at least 2 years of SUD experience, strong EMR skills, and excellent communication. We offer PTO, health/dental/vision options, 401(k) with match, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland license (LCSW-C, CADC, etc.) in the State of Maryland.
• At least 2 years’ experience with a substance use disorder population.
• Computer literate with EMR systems.
• Sound judgement, professionalism, and compassion for client care.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with DHMH / CARF requirements.

Responsibilities

• Run OP / IOP substance use disorder groups.
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, group notes, and other clinical documentation under supervision.
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to maintain client care & treatment.
• Attain trainings and maintain licensure requirements.
