Job summary

Florida Treatment Services in Orlando is seeking a Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with medical and community partners. The role involves direct addiction treatment services for adults and families, with emphasis on documentation, assessment, and ongoing case management.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery, ensure compliance, and deliver patient education within a structured program that values

Qualifications

• Degree in counseling or related field, or experience in another field of similar experience, or must be certified.
• Must have a valid driver's license or state issued ID.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to patients assigned to caseload.
• Direct training groups and seminars. Provide therapeutic leadership in group counseling sessions.
• Coordinate with community agencies and law enforcement to ensure continuity of treatment and referrals.
• Complete initial chemical dependency assessment including psychosocial forms requiring patient signatures.
• Develop and verify a patient ITP within established admission timeframe.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure timely updates and accuracy of treatment plans.
• Assist in securing urine samples for monthly urinalysis and document results.
• Manage release of information for outside referrals and maintain patient confidentiality.
