Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (Counselor I)
• CADC/CADC-related credentials may be required for advanced levels
• TCADC certification must be obtained within 2 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Complete patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and other documentation per standards.
• Provide orientation to patients on program objectives, phases, rules, rights and hours of service.
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases per policy.
• Counsel patients in crisis situations and refer to resources as needed.
• Arrange referrals to community resources and participate in case conferences.
