Job summary

Geisinger Marworth is seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our clinical team. A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field is required, along with at least two years of related experience in substance abuse counseling in a clinical setting.

The role involves conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and delivering individual and group counseling to clients and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related working experience in substance abuse counseling, preferably in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide chemical dependency services to patients and families in accordance with policies.
• Carry out charting requirements and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Facilitate group therapy, individual and family therapy sessions.
• Present educational lectures to patients and family members.
• Coordinate case management with outside agencies and discharge planning.
• Participate in department quality improvement activities.
