Job summary

Rochesterbh is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor at the Master’s level to lead structured recovery groups and provide clinical support in a full-time Ephrata, PA setting. The role emphasizes psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and skill-building to help clients achieve long-term recovery outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a related field, has group facilitation experience in behavioral health, and can document progress accurately in the EMR.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured therapeutic, psychoeducational, and substance use recovery groups.
• Lead discussions on coping skills, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, life skills, and recovery planning.
• Engage clients in skill-building activities that support treatment goals and progress.
• Provide addiction counseling within your scope of practice.
• Assist with case coordination, client support, discharge planning, and treatment team collaboration as needed.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Support a safe, respectful, and clinically appropriate group environment.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

We're seeking a Addiction Counselor who is passionate about supporting clients through structured group programming, substance use counseling, psychoeducation, and clinical support. This role is focused on leading engaging groups, supporting treatment goals, and helping clients build the skills needed for long-term recovery.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate structured therapeutic, psychoeducational, and substance use recovery groups
• Lead meaningful discussions focused on coping skills, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, life skills, and recovery planning
• Engage clients in skill-building activities that support treatment goals and continued progress
• Provide addiction counseling support within your scope of practice

What You'll Bring

• Experience facilitating groups in a behavioral health, substance use, or dual-diagnosis setting
• Strong understanding of addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and co-occurring mental health needs
• Strong group facilitation, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage group dynamics while keeping clients engaged and supported
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
