Job summary

Malvern Treatment Centers in Malvern, PA, seeks an Experienced Counselor to join our treatment team. You will counsel patients regarding addiction, participate in assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and aftercare planning to promote safety and well-being.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in a related field, clinical experience, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work with families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field with clinical experience in health or human services.
• Knowledge of 12-step recovery and chemical dependency.
• Ability to provide individual and group counseling.
• Strong communication and empathy in a clinical setting.
• Experience with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients regarding all aspects of their addiction; participates in assessments and treatment plans.
• Documents patient progress in EMR and aligns with treatment goals.
• Completes case conferences and documentation in a timely manner.
• Addresses problematic behaviors and supports ongoing education.
• Maintains communication with families and coordinates aftercare.
