Job summary

Rosecrance Griffin Williamson in Rockford, IL is seeking a dedicated counselor to oversee daily counseling and activities for clients with addiction challenges in a safe, therapeutic environment.

You will coordinate lectures, supervise group sessions, and collaborate with the treatment team to implement individualized plans, monitor progress, and uphold Rosecrance standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of addiction treatment experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
• Must have own transportation.
• CADC certification or able to be certified within 24 months.
• Skilled in behavioral management techniques.
• Able to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents and community resources.
• Teamwork oriented and mission-driven.

Responsibilities

• Direct contact and counseling including supervision and management of client behavior with appropriate interventions.
• Implement therapeutic activities.
• Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities.
• Monitor clients by consulting with addiction counselor and scheduling individual sessions for AA work.
• Maintain client service records per laws and regulations.
• Develop and present client lectures per schedule.
• Facilitate group discussions and monitor dynamics.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and daily planning.
