Job description

We are currently seeking enthusiastic board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to facilitate care for individuals with catastrophic work-related injuries, often accompanied by co-occurring mental health conditions that complicate their recovery. Stay close to home while positively impacting the medical and mental health outcomes of injured workers, guiding them on their path to rehabilitation and recovery.

Details:

  • Scope of injuries: Catastrophic work-related injuries including musculoskeletal injury, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, burn injury, amputation, polytrauma.
  • Scope of co-occurring mental health conditions: Anxiety, depression, acute stress/post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use.
  • Acuity: Acute, subacute, non-acute.
  • Create, review, and oversee the implementation of care coordination plans for injured workers in line with evidence-based practices.
  • Present care plans to clients and clinical staff.
  • Communicate with providers regarding injured workers, participating in peer-to-peer discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
  • Work directly with a care coordinator nurse who will assist with care planning and coordination.
  • This is a consultant position with competitive compensation.
  • Work remotely with flexible hours.
  • Compensation is hourly-based.
