Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our growing practice includes 170 radiologists, 40 advanced practice providers, and more than 150 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. What we do: ARS provides services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. Our clients include West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health as well as Bronson Healthcare, Holland Hospital, and many others.

What we are looking for: We are seeking additional part or full time help reading body, ER or plain films. There are two options available- Associate Physician (Benefit Eligible) and Associate Physician (Non Benefit Eligible). Both require a minimum of 2 shifts or 16 hours per month. If you prefer benefits, however, you would need to meet the 800 hour per year (~2 shifts per week) requirement. This position can be done from anywhere in the country and is ideal for someone who is looking for flexibility in their schedule or would like an additional source of income from other employment.

Responsibilities:

· Interpret body CT, MRI and US studies and/or plain films as experience aligns

· Body and US shifts can be worked very flexibly- even in one-hour increments when it works for your schedule

· ER shifts must be scheduled in advance and worked in full (8 hour) or half (4 hour) shifts, complex neuro, body, MSK and peds studies go to subspecialty readers

· RVU goals for all shifts

· Systems include Intelerad PACS, PowerScribe 360 and Clario work list

· 24/7 clinical IT support

Why is our practice unique? ARS is a 100% physician owned and managed practice. We are committed to remaining independent. Although we are based in Michigan, we have a well-established teleradiology practice. We had remote physicians prior to COVID and currently have physicians working in 14 states. We have outstanding IT infrastructure and 24/7 help desk support. We are affiliated with Michigan State University College of Medicine, and Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine. Due to the size and breadth of the healthcare systems we support, diagnostic volume and variety of clinical exposure is unrivaled.

Compensation/Benefits: Our Associate Physicians Benefit Eligible earn $1800 per shift but also have a comprehensive benefit plan. If you work an average of 2 shifts per week (800 hours per year) you are eligible for single or family medical/dental/vision with some premium contribution and a $9000 medical reimbursement account. We also contribute half the IRS maximum 401K contribution ($35,000 in 2025) after one year of employment if you work 256 hours (thirty two (32) 8 hour shifts) per quarter. We provide reimbursement for your state medical licenses and your ACR and MSMS payments. If you elect the Associate Physician Non Benefit Eligible option you would earn $2300 per shift. You would have no other benefits outside of individual participation in the 401k as desired. We provide the option for occurrence-based malpractice insurance whether you are in the benefit eligible or non-benefit eligible category. You will not be required to purchase tail insurance.
