Fusion Recovery Center in New York is seeking a Counselor to perform assessments, counseling, and treatment planning for adults with substance use disorders. The role collaborates with the treatment team to deliver client-centered care.

The position requires active NY CASAC or LMSW/LCSW/LMHC licensure and at least one year of relevant experience, with a focus on outpatient services. A strong emphasis on documentation, crisis intervention, and care coordination is included.

Qualifikationen

• At least one year of experience in substance use disorder treatment or social work.
• Outpatient treatment experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, diplomacy, and cultural sensitivity.

Aufgaben

• Conduct intake evaluations and comprehensive assessments for new and transferring clients.
• Develop individualized treatment and safety plans, including clinical formulation and differential diagnosis, as permitted by the individual’s credential and scope of practice.
• Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices.
• Engage clients in treatment and support their participation, progress, and recovery goals.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable OASAS and organizational standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case conferences.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate additional support as needed.
• Assist in developing and improving evidence-based group therapy curricula.
• Provide guidance to clinical staff regarding mental health diagnoses within the individual’s scope of practice.
• Attend professional training and seminars to maintain clinical competence.
