Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks an Addiction Counselor to join a multidisciplinary team delivering clinically sound, culturally sensitive treatment for patients with substance use disorders.

You will conduct screenings, coordinate care, lead counseling sessions, and develop recovery plans, while coordinating with family and community resources. Commitment to recovery, confidentiality, and compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines is essential.

Qualifications

• CASAC Level 1 certificate issued by OASAS is required.
• Completion of OASAS MAT training is required.
• Experience in SUD treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, conducts initial screenings and assessments.
• Facilitates individual, group, and family counseling.
• Develops and monitors treatment and recovery plans.
• Coordinates and provides case and care management services.
• Provides crisis intervention and support when needed.
