Job summary

American Addiction Centers is seeking a Case Manager to deliver comprehensive patient care, including counseling and assessments for adults in outpatient and inpatient settings. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating services and advocating for patients through UR communications.

The role requires experience in behavioral health, familiarity with ASAM criteria, and strong documentation and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field preferred; HS diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a behavioral healthcare field strongly preferred.
• Experience with substance abuse, addictions, mental health, cognitive behavior treatment and motivational interviewing.
• Knowledge of utilizing electronic health record software and documentation.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria.
• Ability to read, write and interpret information, type documentation, present information to groups and participate in meetings.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
• Valid driver license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide substance abuse counseling services in accordance with state laws and licensing boards.
• Maintain a full patient caseload and provide intervention, assessments, treatment planning, and individual/group counseling.
• Initiate and provide family counseling services and group counseling.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and assist with clinical services as assigned by the Clinical Director.
• Participate in daily treatment team and staff meetings.
• Ensure timely documentation meeting contract, licensure, accreditation and standards.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure best care for patients.
• Provide clinical services to outpatient and inpatient adult populations.
• Adhere to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and company policies.
