Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in automotive ADAS design and packaging.
• Specialties in Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing preferred.
• 3+ years of CATIA V5 modeling experience.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams for concept to mass production.
• 1+ years of FEA for stress/strain/vibration analysis (HyperWorks, ANSA, CATIA).
• Knowledge of DFM for sheet metal stamping, injection molding, GD&T, and tolerance stacks.
• Wiring diagrams/circuitry experience preferred.
• Previous design experience at Honda is a big plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering activities for large scale product development programs, investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
• Develop and mature assigned components from concept through production
• Establish and achieve targets for cost, investment, weight, performance, and quality
• Responsible for quality of components and/or subsystem 3D CAD and technical drawings
• Analyze and resolve complex problems with moderate to minimal guidance.
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
• Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs.
• Travel to client sites required.
