Job summary

Solterra School, LLC seeks an Adaptive Teacher to lead a classroom for students with significant cognitive, communication, behavioral, and sensory support needs. The role is on-site with hours 8:00am–3:30pm, serving students through IEP goals and coordinated with BCBA, RBTs, OT, and SLP teams.

You will implement structured, life-skill-focused instruction and maintain accurate IEP documentation while partnering with families to ensure learning carries over to home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience working with students with significant disabilities.
• Virginia teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
• Ability to collaborate with BCBA, RBTs, OT, and SLP.

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom aligned to each student's IEP.
• Collaborate with BCBA, RBTs, and Related Services team.
• Deliver individualized instruction and life skills.
• Maintain IEP documentation and progress notes.
• Partner with families for consistency.
