Job summary

Solterra School in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students with autism. You will work closely with our BCBA team, teachers, OTs, SLPs, and other specialists to implement individualized plans and track progress.

The role is full-time, aligned with school hours, with after-care responsibilities as needed. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish), hold an RBT certification, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs while completing required training.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• RBT Certification required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to move and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Completion of safety care course required.
• Physical activity including walking, standing, and running as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students during school hours and after-school as needed.
• Implement individualized behavior and skill-building plans.
• Help students build communication, social, academic, and life skills.
• Collect data and document student progress.
• Use positive, compassionate strategies to support behavior and regulation.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with BCBA, teachers, OTs, and SLPs.
• Participate in training, coaching, and professional development.
