Qualifications

• Current Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Nebraska Substitute Teacher Certificate required.
• PEM, CPR and personal restraint training required for RTC/sub settings.
• Background with learning disabled or behaviorally impaired learners preferred.
• Special Education endorsement preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and modifies group and individual lesson plans per established curriculum.
• Maintains accurate records as required by laws, policies, and regulations.
• Instructs students using varied methods, adapting to student needs and IEPs.
• Assists with lesson plan implementation with classroom staff.
• Implements behavioral protocols; observes and evaluates student behavior and health.
• Maintains professional communications with parents, guardians, and staff regarding progress.
• Supervises students in all settings, including playground.
• Assigns and grades class work and may administer tests as needed.
