Job summary

Boys Town is seeking a Substitute Teacher to step into the classroom when the regular teacher is unavailable at Boys Town Education Center and Wegner Day School in Omaha, NE. You will deliver instruction, support student growth, and maintain a positive learning environment during on-call day shifts.

Starting pay is $180 per full day, or $190 per full day if you remain in the same classroom for 10 consecutive days or longer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited school.
  • Nebraska teaching/substitute certificates required.
  • CPR and PEM certifications may be required in some settings.
  • Special Education endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging instruction and implement lesson plans.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Supervise and support students in classroom and school settings.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate with staff and families.
