Job summary

Mass General Brigham Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands Corporation seeks an individual to assist in facilitating adaptive sport and recreation programs and adapting activities to meet each participant's goals and abilities. The role also involves program development, marketing and outreach to broaden community education opportunities.

The position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, strong communication, and the ability to mentor students and new staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
  • This role may accept experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Valid Personal Driver's License (NH DMV) required.
  • Direct experience in adapted sport programming 1-2 years preferred.
  • Experience with people with disabilities 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with adaptive sport programs for all ages and abilities; create session plans.
  • Review participant intakes to determine equipment needs.
  • Prepare facilities and equipment; enforce safety rules.
  • Maintain records for program registrations and attendance.
  • Provide information and demonstrations to new staff and students.
  • Respond to questions and mentor students to meet performance expectations.
