Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks a dedicated educator to maximize learning for students with special needs. The role involves implementing district curricula, documenting progress, and creating a safe learning environment.

You will conduct assessments, assist in IEP development, coordinate with PPTs and outside agencies, and maintain thorough records while engaging parents to support student growth and behavior management.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of instructional concepts and basic curriculum.
• Ability to develop learning goals and assess student progress.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify learning issues and plan corrective actions.
• Participate in IEP development and implementation with staff and families.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and school staff to support students.
• Serve as a liaison between home and school to communicate progress.
• Maintain accurate records and provide information to colleges and employers as required by policy.
