Job summary

Marana Unified School District is seeking a dedicated staff member to support students with disabilities, implementing IEP-related services to help them reach their potential within the academic setting.

The role includes one-on-one and small group tutoring, data collection, basic medical tasks under supervision, and collaboration with licensed staff. 9-month position, 35 hours per week, on-site at Marana campuses.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of techniques for working with persons with disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic math.
• Proficient with MS Office and classroom technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and supportive environment for students with special needs to access education.
• Accompany and assist students throughout the school day per IEP.
• Provide tutoring/remediation in 1:1 or small groups under a certified teacher.
• Transcribe instructional materials into Braille when needed.
• Assist with self-care activities and basic medical tasks under supervision.
• Maintain required records and Medicaid billings; perform clerical duties.
• Assist with IEP meetings and related paperwork; schedule parent contacts.
• Proctor state testing and record student progress.
