The City of Peoria's Adaptive Recreation Division seeks an Adaptive Recreation Leader to plan and deliver inclusive programs for residents with disabilities in Peoria, AZ. You will support events such as Friday Night Dances, Social Events, DDD programs and Special Olympics activities, ensuring safety and accessibility while promoting community engagement and independence.

Standard hours and competitive hourly pay ($16.74–$18.83) are offered; you must have a high school diploma, be 18+, and hold

• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Must have at least 6 months of volunteer or work experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Must have a current CPR/First Aid certificate or be able to complete training.
• Must possess a valid Arizona Class “D” Driver’s License upon hire.

The City of Peoria is seeking a Adaptive Recreation Leader. This position plays a vital role in meeting the needs of the adaptive population in and around Peoria.

As an Adaptive Recreation Leader, you will work in various adaptive programs, including but not limited to:

• Special Olympics
• Social Events
• Friday Night Dances
• Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Programs

The primary responsibilities for candidates hired through this recruitment will include assisting with Friday Night Dances, Social Events, DDD Programs, Special Olympics sports within the Adaptive Recreation Division.

The hiring range for this position is$16.7398 - $18.8323 per hour.
