The City of Peoria is seeking an Adaptive Recreation Leader to support individuals with disabilities within the Neighborhood and Human Services Department. You will assist with Friday Night Dances, social events, DDD programs, and Special Olympics sports, helping participants engage in inclusive recreational activities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18 or older, and bring at least six months of volunteer or work experience with people with disabilities.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses and Certifications

• CPR/First Aid Certificate: Must have a current certification or be able to complete training.
• Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Arizona Class "D" Driver’s License upon hire.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assisting with Friday Night Dances.
• Assisting with Social Events.
• Assisting with DDD Programs.
• Assisting with Special Olympics sports within the Adaptive Recreation Division.

The hiring range for this position is $16.7398 - $18.8323 per hour.
