Job summary

The City of Peoria is seeking an Adaptive Recreation Leader to support adaptive programs and events for people with disabilities in Peoria, AZ. This role focuses on delivering inclusive leisure activities and overcoming participation barriers in the community.

You will assist with dances, social events, DDD programs, and Special Olympics activities, collaborating with a team to improve quality of life for participants.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of volunteer or work experience with individuals with disabilities.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Friday Night Dances, Social Events, and DDD Programs.
• Support Special Olympics sports within the Adaptive Recreation Division.
• Help deliver adaptive recreation services to participants with disabilities.
