Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is searching for qualified candidates to fill part-time positions that involve working with children, teenagers, or adults with disabilities in the PRCS programs. These programs may encompass preschool, childcare, Children After School Activities (CASA), Youth After School (YAS), or any other activities offered by PRCS. If you have a background working with individuals with disabilities, inclusion support, and behavior management, this could be the position you've been looking for. An exemplary candidate will demonstrate flexibility, meticulousness, proficient communication abilities, and a commitment to engaging with people of varying capabilities.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
• Multiple PRCS locations.
*Program hours are subject to variation and are available every day of the week. This position may require engagement in programs and events that take place both on-site and off-site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Direct support to individuals with disabilities.
• Implement behavior management supports.
• Facilitate personal care services to meet individual needs.
• Engage with program staff to develop a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Other essential duties related to the specific role and department assignment may also be performed.
High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must undergo criminal background and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. Fingerprinting, TB test within 30 days of hire; hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certifications at hire or within four (4) months.
