Acton- Agua Dulce Unified School District in Acton, CA seeks an Adapted Physical Education Specialist to deliver adapted PE services for students with diverse needs, ages 18 months to 22 years, within a collaborative educational team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in an appropriate field and a California Teaching Credential.
• Master's Degree in Special Education or related field is desirable.
• Experience with disabled children or adults, preferably in a school setting; willingness to participate in Special Olympics.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and prescribe adapted physical education programs in consultation with parents and IEP team.
• Design services for small and large group instruction addressing motor development.
• Collaborate with classroom and support personnel for IEP implementation.
• Record student progress and complete reports as needed.
• Provide in-service training to staff as appropriate.
• Articulate curriculum across student levels.
