Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in an appropriate field and a California Teaching Credential.
• Master's Degree in Special Education or related field is desirable.
• Experience with disabled children or adults, preferably in a school setting; willingness to participate in Special Olympics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and prescribe adapted physical education programs in consultation with parents and IEP team.
• Design services for small and large group instruction addressing motor development.
• Collaborate with classroom and support personnel for IEP implementation.
• Record student progress and complete reports as needed.
• Provide in-service training to staff as appropriate.
• Articulate curriculum across student levels.
