Job summary

Bilingual Therapies is seeking an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for two Minnesota middle schools. The role runs full-time, Monday through Friday, with a 37.5-hour work week and duties across Northdale and Roosevelt Middle Schools.

Candidates must hold a Minnesota DAPE license and show experience in adaptive PE, curriculum design, and collaboration with school staff and families. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Minnesota DAPE license.
• Demonstrated experience as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of adaptive PE curriculum design and implementation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and support teams.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for students of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individualized adaptive physical education programs to meet student needs.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress in motor and social/emotional development.
• Modify activities and equipment to support accessibility and engagement.
• Consult regularly with educators, paraprofessionals, parents/guardians, and other specialists.
• Contribute to IEP meeting processes and documentation for assigned caseload.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines for adaptive PE instruction.
• Rotate between Northdale Middle School and Roosevelt Middle School as assigned.
