Job summary

St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Float/Flex Team. You will provide individualized, comprehensive care, perform skilled procedures, assess patients, and implement care plans within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The position requires RN licensure in Texas, an Associate of Science in Nursing, and CPR certification, with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Of Science Nursing and at least one (1) year of RN experience.
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide cost-effective, quality patient care.
• Performs ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnoses, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes.
• Documents in patient and unit records per health system standards.
• Provides teaching to patients and families on pain management, nutrition, skin integrity, fall prevention, diabetes, discharge instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to patient safety, ethics, confidentiality, and cost containment.
• Collaborates with Outcomes managers and department on research opportunities.
