Qualifications

• Associates Of Science Nursing and at least one (1) year of RN experience;
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost effective, quality driven, and patient focused manner.
• Performs ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnoses and goals, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes.
• Documents in patient and unit records according to health system standards to meet legal and quality requirements.
• Provides teaching to patients and families on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to the goals and values of the patient, Hospital, community and nursing profession through cost containment, confidentiality, ethical decision-making and patient safety.
• Uses research-based interventions and participates in research activities with Outcomes managers and department.
