Job summary

Crystal Springs, Inc. in Assonet, MA, is seeking a workshop technician to clean and maintain equipment, craft adaptive devices, and perform regular maintenance on supportive devices during sessions at residences, classrooms, and Day Hab groups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; woodworking experience including table saws and sanders.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Machining and experience with power tools and drill press.
• Experience with metal and plastics.
• Welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all equipment and tools in the workshop.
• Create adaptive equipment as designed by the Director.
• Provide regular maintenance checks and repairs for all supportive devices by visiting residences, classrooms, and Day Hab groups during sessions.
• Provide the Adaptive Design Director with requests and recommendations on the condition of all mechanical support devices.
• Provide staff with maintenance advice and instruction on device usage.
• Provide list of depleting supplies and tooling on as-needed basis
