Crystal Springs Inc. is seeking a full-time Habilitation Worker for our Assonet, MA location. The role involves providing care, teaching, and support to participants, with transportation to appointments and activities.

CPI crisis prevention is part of the responsibilities, and opportunities to join pool and gym sessions are available. The position offers a competitive hourly rate ($17.50-$19.50) and benefits including paid training, within a supportive residential environment serving individuals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience with developmentally disabled individuals in habilitation/vocational setting.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass van driving in-service.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care, skilled teaching, and support to program participants.
• Transport and accompany participants to and from home, medical, dental, psychiatric appointments, and leisure activities.
• Assist in crisis assessment and prevention using CPI techniques.
• Attend pool and gym sessions with participants as scheduled.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?

As a full-time Habilitation Worker, you provide exceptional care, skilled teaching, and necessary support to our program participants. You transport and accompany them to and from home, medical appointments, dental appointments, psychiatric appointments, and leisure activities. Additionally, you assist in crisis assessment and prevention, utilizing the trained Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques. You also have the chance to attend pool and gym sessions with our individuals.

REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR HABILITATION WORKER

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year(s) of experience or specific skills in working with developmentally disabled individuals in a habilitation/vocational setting
• Valid driver's license (at least 6 months) with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass van driving in-service
