Job summary

MTM Transit is hiring a Marking and Tethering Evaluator in California to perform ADA assessments and safety briefings for mobility-device users. You’ll identify securement points, document measurements, and maintain compliance with ADA guidelines.

The role requires 1 year of experience with disabilities, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. On-site work with opportunities for training and outreach are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of professional experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Ability to assist customers with mobility devices safely.
• Willingness to assist with boarding/alighting mock buses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Mark and Tethering 4-point securement assessments for wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters.
• Provide briefings on the Mark and Tethering service to applicants with mobility devices.
• Investigate recalls and resolve client inquiries.
• Respond to client and site leadership within specified timeframes.
• Complete assessments with photos, measurements, and device data within 48 hours.
• Identify safest securement points for mobility devices.
• Maintain knowledge of ADA transportation regulations.
• Track monthly marking data and tether inventory.
• Participate in quarterly hands-on MTM training.
• Engage in community outreach events to perform assessments.
