Job description

Our client, a prominent law firm, is seeking an ADA Employment Litigation Attorney.

  • Salary: $180- $300K, depending on experience.
  • Experience: 3–10+ years of employment litigation, specifically in ADA compliance, accessibility, and disability matters.
  • Billable hours: 1,800
  • Schedule: First month is 100% in the office to integrate with the team; flexible hybrid work available thereafter, or fully remote.
  • Partnership Track: Yes
  • Scope: Focuses on violations of the ADA, including public accommodation (physical access), digital accessibility, and employment.
  • Focus: Often handles lawsuits for non-compliance, negotiating access, or litigating discrimination cases.
  • Client Base: May represent individuals, companies needing compliance, or, in some cases, plaintiffs in public access suits.
Responsibilities
  • Draft motions, oppositions to motions, and reply briefs, and appear at hearings before judicial officers in state and federal courts and arbitration forums.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Respond to discovery requests and issue subpoenas.
  • Negotiate and draft agreements, including settlement agreements and joint defense agreements.
  • Support first‑chair attorneys before, during, and after trial, including preparation of pretrial documents, motions, and deposition summaries.
  • Advise and communicate with clients and opposing counsel in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Research case law and statutes.
  • Review and analyze documents produced by opposing counsel and provided by clients.
  • Originate new client relationships.
  • Supervise remote paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Present MCLE programs to firm lawyers and paralegals on relevant topics.
  • Record billable time promptly and accurately.
Qualifications
  • Active California State Bar License (Required)
  • Experience with ADA compliance, accessibility litigation, and disability discrimination matters, including both advisory and litigation work.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
