Job summary

CentraCare Health in Saint Cloud, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our Surgery department. You will prepare operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries, maintain sterile technique, and help ensure patient safety by stocking and organizing instruments.

This part-time role offers shifts 6am-6pm with a mix of 8- and 10-hour days, a competitive hourly pay from $30.65 to $46.90, plus bonuses and relocation help.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required (can be obtained upon hire).
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgeries and procedures.
• Inventory surgical materials and tools to ensure patient safety.
• Work closely with physicians, CRNAs, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel to deliver quality patient care.

Job description

Our Surgical Technologists are there to prepare for a patient’s arrival and stay in the operating room to ensure their best possible outcome. You’ll prepare operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries and procedures and inventory surgical materials and tools to assure patient safety all while working closely with physicians, CRNA’s, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering quality patient care.

Schedule

• Part-time | 52-60 hours every two weeks
• Mix of 8 and 10-hr shifts | 6am-6pm | Weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotation

Pay and Benefits

• Pay range $30.65-46.90 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience.

Our Teams

Within our Surgery department you will work on one of six specialized teams. This position will be a part of our Team 2: Orthopedics, Podiatry. During the orientation process, you will cross train to all teams, so you are familiar with each.

• Team 1: Urology, GYN, Ophthalmology
• Team 2: Orthopedics, Podiatry
• Team 3: General, Bariatric, Plastics, Trauma
• Team 4: Neurosurgery, ENT, Dental, Pain
• Team 5: Cardiac, Vascular
• Team 6: Endovascular

Qualifications

To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous CentraCare employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

Relocation Assistance Eligibility: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from St. Cloud Hospital and relocate to within 30 miles of it.
