Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the surgeon and operative team in a fast-paced OR. You will help ensure a safe environment, verify equipment functionality, and uphold infection control principles under RN supervision.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, with preferred prior OR experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and customer service background. On-site role with evening shifts.

About This Position

Provides assistance and support to the surgeon and operative team to ensure a safe environment, equipment functions properly, adheres to surgical concepts and infection control principles for the customer who may include: neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults or older adults. The Surgical Technologist (CST) works under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.

Experience

• Previous Operating room experience preferred.
• Customer service skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize.
• Communication and Interpersonal skills

Licensure/Certification

• Certified Surgical Technologist(CST) through governing body, i.e. National Board Surgical Technologists (NBST), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); OR within 12 months of Hire.
• BLS certification required at time of hire- NMHC Standard

Work Group: Surgical Technicians

Hours per two week pay period: 80

Shift: Evenings 8 hours

Weekend Requirement: Weekends by Department Rotation

Call Requirement: Off Premise Call

Remote or On-site: On-site

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: Surgical Technologist ($36.88 - $47.58), based on experience

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
