Jobtailor seeks a Rehabilitation Services Director to lead and supervise about 30-40 therapists across PT, OT, and SLP in an acute care setting in Oregon. You will drive patient care quality, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement while coordinating care with hospital leadership.

Job description

• Lead and supervise approximately 30-40 physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans
• Evaluate staff competency and optimize performance to ensure safe, quality, effective, and efficient patient care
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of new staff
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Allocate resources, monitor productivity, and manage scheduling and workload distribution
• Address and resolve clinical issues while providing guidance and support
• Maintain knowledge of rehabilitation therapy best practices and regulatory requirements
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement evidence-based practices and protocols
• Collect and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with departments and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
• Facilitate team meetings and act as liaison between rehabilitation and hospital administration
• Participate in hospital committees representing the rehabilitation department
• Provide direct clinical care to acute care patients
• Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a pediatric care setting
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Current and valid license to practice in Oregon in either Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or Occupational Therapy
• American Heart BLS for Healthcare Provider
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, activities, and assignments
• Ability to work in an environment of frequent interruptions, change, and fluctuations
• Ability to accept accountability and responsibility for the assigned work area
• Ability to work at a computer for several hours as needed
• Monday-Friday availability, with occasional weekends based on employer needs
