Job summary

North Harbor, part of DCH Health System, seeks a Team Leader to serve as the unit-based clinical supervisor for the acute inpatient psychiatric unit. You will direct staff, manage patient flow, and coordinate shift assignments while ensuring quality of care under the unit manager.

Weekend and holiday shifts may be required, with mentoring, in-services, and PI activities. The role requires strong nursing leadership, adherence to standards, and collaboration across departments to maintain safety

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Alabama or Multistate License required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on specialty areas.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates unit activities and provides leadership for unit staffing and patient assignments.
• Supervises and evaluates nursing care furnished to each patient in their assigned department.
• Promotes efficient patient flow including timely discharges and admissions.
• Leads unit-based daily huddle and represents unit at house wide daily huddle.
• Ensures compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
