As an Acute Pharmacy Technician Evenings, your responsibilities will include compounding, managing Pyxis refills, filling medications, working in the IV room, and running stat medications to patient rooms, as needed. You will be working in both the adult and pediatric IV rooms. Your schedule will be 2PM - 10:30PM with alternating weekends and holidays. You will receive an 18% night shift differential and $1 extra on the weekends when applicable.

Our over 200-bed facility utilizes advanced technology like iCare ICU monitoring and robotic surgery, with specialized units including a 76-bed NICU, 24-bed PICU, pediatric ORs, and a dedicated ED.
This position works under the supervision of the pharmacist, performing duties in packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Serves as a liaison between the customer and pharmacist. Becomes proficient in preparing compounded IV medications, total parenteral nutrition, and chemotherapeutic agents within USP compliance. Uses pharmacy computer systems to investigate and respond to medication requests. Demonstrates assessment and problem-solving skills. May educate and train peers and trainees. Must provide age-appropriate care.
Requires Pharmacy Technician licensure and certification or intern licensure in the state of practice. Arizona incumbents must provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card. Ability to perform mathematical calculations, strong customer service, communication, attention to detail, prioritization, problem-solving, and computer skills are essential. Must possess valid fingerprint clearance cards as required by the specific Banner facility. Employees at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or MD Anderson must meet additional specific licensing requirements.
Additional related education or experience is preferred.
