Job summary

The role includes supervision of rehab staff where applicable and ensuring safe transfers and evidence-based care. Sign-on bonus is available; continuing education in acute stroke care is encouraged to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) per IDFPR is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Attend and satisfactorily complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages and adjust plans of care as needed.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers; collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Design a comprehensive plan of care with goals, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Document in accordance with policy and supervise rehab staff as applicable.
• Ensure safe patient handling and transfer techniques and monitor care quality.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) – IDFPR

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)

Continuing education in acute stroke care
